Sandre Bevan
-Principal
My name is Sandre Bevan and I am excited to be the principal of Glendale Sciences and Technology School this year. I have spent my entire teaching career with the Red Deer Public School District, first at Eastview, then at Lindsay Thurber, and finally at Hunting Hills. I left the classroom to become the vice-principal of Glendale, then returned to LTCHS in that role from 2012 to 2019. In 2020 I served as a district Learning Services Coordinator with a focus on high school collaboration and completion.
I have two beautiful daughters who are both graduates of RDPSD. My oldest daughter Alyssa is also a teacher in RDPSD and my youngest daughter Carly lives in Airdrie. In my spare time, I enjoy walking my doodle puppy Robson, spending time with my friends, reading, and being active.
At Glendale, we value our partnerships with parents, families, and the community, and I look forward to working with families to help our students achieve their full potential. Please feel free to phone or email me at any time.

Hi Gladiators!
I graduated from the University of Alberta and Red Deer College’s Middle Years program, and have completed my Masters in Educational Leadership through Concordia University.
I was lucky to teach at Mountview Elementary school for seven years (Grades 4 and 5). While at MV, the school's Makerspace allowed for countless connections between the AB Ed curriculum and 21st century technologies (e.g. 3D printing, virtual reality and coding). I also had the opportunity to participate in several of Mountview's (and now Glendale's) extracurricular clubs and activities, including the We Day, basketball, handball, running and cross-country skiing teams.
I'm thrilled to be back at Glendale for a eighth year, where I had my first teaching practicum and helped coach basketball for several years. The fact that Glendale has since converted to the School of Sciences and Technology only makes my return that much sweeter; to say that I'm passionate about the sciences would be a major understatement.

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I was born in Langenburg, Saskatchewan into a family of ten. I completed my high school education in Langenburg before moving to Red Deer to complete my education degree through Red Deer College/University of Alberta. I taught my first year in Lloydminster, AB before moving back to Red Deer in 2001 to begin teaching in at Hunting Hills High School. In 2016 I began my Master's program with City University of Seattle. I graduated with a Master's of Education with a focus on Leadership in Education. My husband, Kevin Robertson, is the principal at Joseph Welsh Elementary. I have two boys, Lynden and Tanner, who both attend schools in Red Deer Public.
My fundamental belief is that all kids can learn when they have a champion in their corner. Feel free to stop by the school if you have any questions or concerns. My door is always open.
