APEGA Science Olympics!
Posted onAPEGA Science Olympics Success!
This past Saturday, eight amazing teams from Glendale School represented us at the APEGA Science Olympics in Edmonton — and they crushed it!
The APEGA Science Olympics is a fun, hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) competition organized by the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA). Students work together to solve creative design challenges that mirror real-world problems faced by engineers and geoscientists. It's an incredible opportunity for students to stretch their imaginations, apply their learning, and practice essential skills like teamwork, critical thinking, and innovation.
Our Results:

-
Grade 6 Team — INNOVATOR AWARD
We are so proud of our young scientists and engineers who showed incredible creativity, teamwork, and perseverance throughout the competition. Their hard work truly paid off!
Over the past few months, students dedicated time outside of school to prepare for the Olympics. They met every Tuesday after school to design, build, test, and refine their projects. Their commitment, energy, and excitement were inspiring to watch.
A huge thank you to all the students for their amazing effort, and to the coaches who volunteered their time to guide and encourage them every step of the way.
Way to go, Glendale!
